Successful concept
The strategic goals of the new platform were professional networking, cultivation of existing client base and establishment of new contacts in the museum and exhibition world. In a survey initiated by ,simple to evaluate the event, exhibitors confirmed that the concept was a success. In general, exhibitors unanimously assessed EXPOCASE as “good”. The success of the EXPOCASE première, however, is also reflected by the positive feedback of visitors and the large number of inquisitive guests who gathered on the “seat steps” during the supporting programme.


Enthusiastic visitors
Visitors were particularly impressed by the different designs and methods of presentation of the EXPOCASES. Design offices and the masters’ course had very different approaches to the subject of exhibition design and interactive knowledge transfer. The spectrum ranged from an experiment with materials and sculpture-like installation via analogue design table to media-programmed interaction.


Committed partners
The audioguide sponsored by Sennheiser also made the EXPOCASES an aural experience. While wandering past exhibits, visitors could tune in to poetical texts and atmospherical sounds or listen to explanations of the EXPOCASES. avedition equipped the reading lounge with a range of fascinating trade literature and visitors were able to relax with a cup of coffee and read at leisure. The magazine for creative space design PLOT presented the fourth edition of “HEAD, HEART AND HANDS” on the subject of interaction, and was purchased by many visitors.


Many thanks to Koelnmesse for their cooperation, and to our first exhibitors who helped with designs, production and manpower. And thanks also to the organisers of the supporting programme and the visitors who brought the platform to life. EXPOCASE became a communicative centre and was the most fascinating place at the fair!
